 Additionally, an abrasive belt can be used to grind and draw the surface as a whole. However, this process generates heat and may cause stress concentration on the drawing side of the workpiece, leading to warping and deformation, particularly for thin-walled parts.
There are two methods used in wire drawing machines: vibrating roller brush and non-vibrating roller brush. These methods, combined with different processing speeds, can generate lines of varying lengths on the workpiece. The abrasive belt rotates at high speed, and the workpiece is polished and drawn as it passes through the abrasive belt on the conveyor belt. Common materials processed using this method include stainless steel plates, aluminum alloys, and other metal plates. These semi-finished products can then be further used in various applications such as stainless steel elevator door panels, stainless steel countertops, aluminum alloy cases, and more.
The key to operating a flat wire drawing machine is to achieve a high polishing rate to remove the damage layer produced during polishing as quickly as possible. Achieving a high polishing rate involves using coarser abrasives to remove the damage layer at a faster rate. However, this also results in a deeper polishing damage layer. Conversely, using finer abrasives results in a shallower polishing damage layer but with a lower polishing rate.
After the wire drawing process, the surface of the aluminum plate may be sprayed with paint. In such cases, there can be small defects on the surface of the paint film, including coarse grains, sandpaper marks, flow marks, anti-white marks, orange peel texture, and others. The flat wire drawing machine typically consists of basic components such as a cover, motor, base, and a taper sleeve for fixing the polishing disc, which is connected to the motor shaft using screws.
